Yotekobi

Terms of use (beta)

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Javier Antonio Ramis Borque, the individual who runs Yotekobi. We’ve tried to make them easy to read. By creating an account or taking part as a guest, you accept them. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy notice.

This is a beta

Yotekobi is free and still being built. Features may change, break or disappear, and we may pause the service to fix things. We’ll tell you before any change that matters to you, and you can always take a copy of your data or delete it.

Who can use Yotekobi

You must be 18 or older. You can make lists for your children, but children can’t have their own account or join as guests.

Your account

Keep your email (or Google account) safe: anyone who can read your sign-in codes can use your account. Use a name the people you share with will recognise, and don’t pretend to be someone else.

Guests

You can join a group or reserve a gift as a guest with just a name. Your guest activity lives on that browser: if you clear it or lose the device, you may lose access. Save an account to keep it.

Your content

Your lists, items, notes and names stay yours. You give Javier Antonio Ramis Borque a free, non-exclusive permission to store, process and show them, only to run Yotekobi for you and the people you share with, for as long as they are in Yotekobi. When you delete them, that permission ends. Make sure you have the right to add what you add.

House rules

Please don’t use Yotekobi to:

  • break the law, or list or promote illegal items (for example, weapons, drugs or counterfeits);
  • harass, threaten, bully or humiliate anyone, including through list names, group names or your display name;
  • pretend to be someone else, or add someone to a group or a draw who wouldn’t expect it;
  • share sexual content or hate, or anything that exploits or endangers children;
  • add links to scams, malware or phishing, or send spam;
  • reserve gifts you don’t mean to give, or otherwise mess with other people’s lists;
  • scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or get around our limits and security, or access data that isn’t yours;
  • sell or advertise to other users.

Reservations and surprises

We design Yotekobi so that the person whose list it is never sees who reserved what. We can’t control what happens outside the app (for example, someone showing their screen), so a surprise can still be spoiled. A reservation is a note to other gifters, not a purchase: you buy gifts from the shops yourself.

Groups and Secret Santa

Organizers can name a group, invite people, close it to new members and remove members. Only invite people who’d expect it. A Secret Santa draw is random within the exclusions the organizer sets. Any budget is an agreement between participants: Yotekobi doesn’t handle money.

AI

AI fills in item details from links, screenshots and text. It can get things wrong (price, size, colour), so check before you save and before you buy. Prices and availability are set by the shops and can change at any time.

Shops and links

Items link to other websites. We don’t sell anything and aren’t responsible for those sites, their products or their prices: their own terms apply. We check links against lists of harmful sites, but no check is perfect. Today Yotekobi has no ads and no affiliate links. If that changes, we’ll update these terms first and label those links clearly.

Reporting a problem

Use “Report” on any list, item, group or name, or write to hola@yotekobi.com. That address is our contact point for users and for authorities, in English, Spanish or Portuguese. Tell us what’s wrong and where to find it. We look at every report, act quickly on illegal content and tell you what we decided.

What we may do

If content or behaviour breaks these terms or the law, we may hide or remove that content, limit features, or suspend or close the account. Link checks against lists of harmful sites are automatic. Everything else is decided by a person, case by case. We tell the person affected what we did and why, unless the law or someone’s safety stops us, and they can reply to ask us to look again. If we believe someone’s life or safety is at risk, we may tell the authorities.

Stopping

You can stop at any time and delete everything (see the Privacy notice). We may end the beta or the service. If we do, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice to take a copy of your data, unless we have to act sooner for legal or safety reasons.

Responsibility

Yotekobi is free and provided with reasonable care, but we can’t promise it will always work or suit every purpose. We aren’t responsible for indirect losses, for shops’ products or for what other users do. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited (such as for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury) or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Our name and design

The Yotekobi name, logo, the Kobi mascot, the design and the software belong to Javier Antonio Ramis Borque. You may use Yotekobi as intended, but please don’t copy or reuse them without asking.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 15 days before. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account before the change applies.

Law and disputes

Spanish law applies. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts there. Please write to us first: most things can be fixed quickly.

These terms are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and all versions are equally valid.
