Privacy notice: Yotekobi waitlist
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Who we are
Yotekobi is a personal project of Javier Antonio Ramis Borque, an individual based in Spain, who decides how your data is used (the “controller”). Contact: hola@yotekobi.com. For Brazil, Javier Antonio Ramis Borque is also the person in charge of data protection (encarregado).
What we collect
- Your email address and country.
- Your language, when you signed up and confirmed, the version of the text you agreed to, and which link brought you here (for example, the link shared in a family group).
- Your answers to the optional questions, if you give them.
We don’t ask for your name, phone number or address, and we don’t store your IP address with your sign-up.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To keep your spot and email you about our launch: a confirmation email, then at most 3 emails about our launch, including opening day. Basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and LSSI art. 21; LGPD art. 7, I).
- To decide what to build: your optional answers, read only in aggregate. Basis: your consent, because you choose to answer.
- To count visits and sign-ups: a code that changes every day and can’t be linked back to you or across days. Basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether this page works (GDPR art. 6(1)(f); LGPD art. 7, IX).
- To keep the site secure and stop abuse: short-lived technical logs. Basis: legitimate interest.
We don’t sell or share your data for advertising, build profiles or make automated decisions about you.
Who helps us
These providers process data only on our instructions, under data-processing agreements:
- Vercel: website hosting (EU, Frankfurt)
- Supabase: database (EU, Frankfurt)
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES): sending emails (EU, Frankfurt). Our contact inbox, and a backup for sending emails, run on our own mail server at a hosting company.
- PostHog: visit statistics with no personal identifiers (EU)
Transfers outside the EU
Your data is stored in the EU. Some of these providers are US companies or part of US groups and may access data from the US, for example to deliver emails or provide support. Where that happens, it is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and, for the UK, their UK equivalents).
How long we keep it
- If you never confirm your email: we delete it after 30 days.
- If you confirm: until 6 months after our public launch, then we delete it. If you create an account before then, we delete your waitlist entry, and your account is covered by the app’s own privacy policy.
- If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete: we delete your entry within 30 days. Our email provider keeps your address on a block list only so that you never get another email from us.
- Visit statistics: anonymous counts, raw events deleted after 13 months.
- Security logs: up to 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, take a copy, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing doesn’t affect what happened before. In Brazil you also have the other rights in LGPD art. 18. Every email has an unsubscribe link. For anything else, write to hola@yotekobi.com. We reply within one month.
Complaints
You can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, www.aepd.es), the UK ICO (ico.org.uk), Brazil’s ANPD (www.gov.br/anpd) or the authority where you live. We’d appreciate the chance to fix it first.
Age
The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over. If we learn someone younger has signed up, we delete their entry.
Cookies
Only strictly necessary ones, so there is nothing to accept. Joining the waitlist sets no cookie. If you use the app, it sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, listed in the app’s privacy notice. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no local storage, pixels or browser fingerprinting.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we’ll email you before the change applies.
